Shenmo’s Abacus & Mental Arithmetic programme introduces children to mathematical concepts through the traditional abacus, an educational tool that has been used for centuries.
Students begin by learning how to use physical abacus beads to perform calculations. As their understanding develops, they progress towards visualising the abacus mentally and solving mathematical problems without relying on the physical instrument.
This gradual learning process encourages mathematical fluency, concentration and independent thinking.
